    Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater

    Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater promotes the uniqueness of the African-American cultural experience and the preservation and enrichment of American modern dance. Ailey has come to include Ailey II (1974), the Ailey School, Ailey Arts In Education & Community Programs and the Ailey Extension, which offers dance classes to the public on a walk-in basis, in accordance with Alvin Ailey’s dictum “dance is for everybody.”

    Abrons Arts Center

    The Abrons Arts Center is a program of Henry Street Settlement, which has provided social services and arts programs to the Lower East Side since 1893. Its landmarked 300-seat Neighborhood Playhouse houses Henry Street’s visual and performing arts programming alongside its community-based arts training.
