    French Institute Alliance Française

    The French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) encourages the appreciation of French language and culture and fosters cross-cultural exchange. It offers French classes as well as cultural programming and a lending library at its 1925 Beaux-Arts building on the Upper East Side.

    Mon - Thurs: 10 am-8 pm
    Fri & Sat: 10 am-5 pm

    Built in 1958, the branch is a two-story facility with adult, young adult and children's collections. A multi-use room is available for community group meetings as well as library programs.

  • High Bridge Branch—New York Public Library

    Bronx

    THE HIGH BRIDGE BRANCH IS CLOSED FOR RENOVATION UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

    In 1975, the original Highbridge branch was demolished and rebuilt, and the library reopened to the public on October 25, 1976. Fully accessible to persons who use wheelchairs, the branch houses adult, young adult and children's collections. A meeting room near the front of the library is available for community group meetings as well as library programs.

  • Horticultural Society of New York

    Manhattan

    The Horticultural Society furthers public knowledge about horticulture and is perhaps best known as sponsor of the New York Flower Show, an annual spring event held at Pier 92 on the Hudson River that features the work of hundreds of amateur and professional gardeners, landscapers and horticulturists.
