NewFest: The New York LGBT Film Festival
Brooklyn
Founded in 1988, the New Festival is an annual one-week program of gay and lesbian cinema. The festival screens features, shorts and documentaries that explore themes of sexuality by directors from the world over. Screenings take place at the School of Visual Arts Theaters on West 23rd Street during the month of June. In September the festival presents Selections from the New Festival, a two-day program at BAM Rose Cinemas in Brooklyn.
New York International Children's Film Festival

North America’s largest film festival for children and teens promotes provocative and relevant film for kids. Each year the festival programs new animation, live action and experimental film from around the world, with filmmaker Q&As, production workshops, red-carpet premieres, audience voting and the NYICFF Awards.
New York Public Library for the Performing Arts
