    Third Street Music School Settlement

    Now in its second century of service, the School provides instruction in music and dance to more than 5,000 students of all ages at its school on East 11th Street and through 28 partnerships with schools and community centers primarily on Manhattan's Lower East Side as well as Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.

  • Tong Xiao Ling Chinese Opera Ensemble

    Manhattan

    Established in 2005, this company performs classic Beijing Opera works with a full orchestra and costuming for local communities, schools and colleges throughout the metropolitan area. A culmination of over 1,400 years of Chinese Opera, Beijing Opera is itself an art form that is 200 years old. Director Tong Xiao Ling's family has been performing Chinese Opera for four generations. The company seeks to train new artists in this form.

    Town Hall

    Manhattan

    Town Hall was once a meeting place to rally around early 20th-century causes. It is the hall where African-American contralto Marian Anderson debuted when discrimination reigned elsewhere. Town Hall's vibrant progressive history lives on through its diverse programming in music, stand-up comedy and dance.

  • Trinity Wall Street

    Manhattan

    Trinity Church was designed by Richard Upjohn and completed in 1846. It is a classic example of Gothic Revival architecture. Permanent exhibits in its museum trace church history from the 1600s to the present. Free, weekly chamber and contemporary classical music recitals are performed every Thursday at 1 pm from September to May.

    Manhattan

    Turtle Bay Music School was founded in 1925 to provide high-quality musical instruction and related musical experiences to motivated students of all ages and levels of ability. The school offers affordable private and group instruction for toddlers through adults, as well as public concerts and recitals by faculty and advanced students.
