    Music Before 1800

    Director Louise Basbas established the concert series in 1974 to offer New York audiences nine centuries of rarely heard medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and early classical music performed by top artists from the United States and abroad. Each season, Music Before 1800 presents eight Sunday afternoon concerts at Corpus Christi Church.

    As an alternative to the conventional concert hall, Salon/Sanctuary Concerts offers the special chance to hear acclaimed artists performing pre-Romantic music in intimate venues that complement the historical context of the repertoire.

  • St. George's Choral Society

    Manhattan

    St. George's Choral Society, comprised of approximately 75 amateur singers and professional section leaders, rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7-9:30 pm in the chapel of St. George's Church in Stuyvesant Square.
