It’s time to fantasize about clothes lighter than wool and knit fleece. The biannual Fashion Week returns February 11-18, turning Bryant Park into a tent city of the rich and famous, who get an eyeful of what designer threads they’ll be sporting in the warmer months to come.

Nearby and around town are exhibitions and arts groups that will appeal to those who link fashion to culture. Close to the main Tent at Bryant Park is the New York Public Library, where designer Bill Blass was a library trustee and longtime benefactor. The Public Catalog Room that leads to the stunning Rose Reading Room is named after Blass.
