Running from June 27-July 16, 2011, Midsummer Night Swing turned Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park into a three-week, open-air dance party for pros and newcomers alike. A live band of either local or national renown accompanied the featured dance style each night, performing swing, country, salsa, disco or Afrobeat, to name a few. Every evening included a dance class by local instructors, followed by live music to accompany dancers as they try out both new and practiced moves for the rest of the evening.
