The Lincoln Center Festival 2011, which runs from July 5-August 14, offers 116 theater, music, dance and opera performances by ensembles and artists from some 20 countries, and includes 6 World, North American, U.S. and New York premieres unfolding in 7 venues on and off the Lincoln Center campus. Central to the festival is an effort to look outside the Western European canon and to broaden notions of classicism by presenting classical works from other parts of the world.
