Ben Mezrich’s books have a habit of finding their way to the big screen—The Accidental Billionaires fueled the Oscar-winner The Social Network, Bringing Down the House dealt the movie hit 21. At Bryant Park, Ben Mezrich talks with humorist and author A.J. Jacobs about his latest nonfiction book, Sex on the Moon (Doubleday, July 2011 ).
For Sex on the Moon, Mezrich researched thousands of pages of court records, FBI transcripts and NASA documents and interviewed most of the participants in a far-out crime: stealing moon rocks from a NASA laboratory in an Ocean’s Eleven–style heist.
Mezrich discussed writing and risk-takers with NYC ARTS in this interview.
The book talk is a part of the Word for Word outdoor reading series that features bestselling authors, celebrity writers and expert-panelists sharing anecdotes, answering questions from the audience, and signing copies of their latest books.
