Out of Doors Festival: Malkit Singh and Dengue Fever

Thu, Aug 04, 2011, 7:30 pm - 11:59 pm

Malkit Singh

Free admission (all visitors, all hours)

An unrivaled global superstar of bhangra and a best-selling artist in the infectious Punjabi pop style, Indian singer Malkit Singh’s impassioned vocals have even reached the ears of the Queen of England (he was knighted as a result).

L.A.’s Dengue Fever, fronted by Cambodia-born singer Chhom Nimol (who has performed for royalty herself), transforms sunny 1960s psychedelia into boundary-crossing Cambodian rock that mines surfy garage-pop and Afro grooves.

The Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival takes place on the plazas of Lincoln Center from July 27 to August 14. Click here to view the full schedule of events.
