Hero the Musical



In 2009 , Hero: the Musical was commissioned to commemorate and honor the 100th anniversary of the death of An Chunggun, a patriotic Korean leader that fought against the Japanese invasion of 1909. For his part in the assassination of the Japanese leader, Ito Hirobumi, An Chunggun was arrested, sentenced to die and executed in 1910. Hero: the Musical premiered in Seoul in 2009 . This is the show’s American premiere, which, among other feats, features a life-sized, turn-of-the-century railway car suspended over the stage.
