Take the Metro-North Harlem local line to Botanical Garden Station. Walk across Kazimiroff Blvd. to the garden's Mosholu Gate entrance. By Subway: B, D, 4 train to Bedford Park Blvd. Station. From the station exit, take the Bx 26 bus east to the garden's Mosholu Gate entrance; or walk eight blocks down the hill on Bedford Park Blvd. to the end (approximately 20 minutes). Turn left onto Kazimiroff Blvd. and walk one block to Mosholu Gate entrance.

Mario Batali’s Edible Garden debuted this spring to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Ruth Rea Howell Family Garden.
Mario Batali’s Edible Garden allows families to enjoy daily gardening activities and cooking demonstrations that showcase kid-friendly recipes with the chance to sample and search for ingredients in the garden. Explore gardening plots showcasing Mario’s favorite vegetables and fruits: Batali’s Berry Patch; Babbo Beets, Beans, Garlic, and Greens Garden; and Otto Pizza Garden. Kids can embark on Mario’s Menu Mystery Scavenger Hunt.
Regular cooking demonstrations in a state-of-the art outdoor kitchen highlight easy, classic recipes created by Mario and chefs from his restaurants.
Cooking demonstrations take place Tues–Sun at 2 and 4 pm.

Chefs from Mario’s restaurants will be on hand for cooking demonstrations and kitchen Q&As. Food prep fun for kids and adults takes place all weekend long, with hands-on activities, potting up basil to take home, and more.
