The Company's new headquarters at 551 Grand Street will open in January 2011. As of now, there are daily classes in modern technique and Taylor style for professional and pre-professional dancers, but no classes for the general public.

The Paul Taylor Dance Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of Create With Taylor (www.createwithtaylor.org), a micro-commissioning project inviting dance enthusiasts and the public at large to get a behind-the-scenes look at Paul Taylor’s creative process.

Mr. Taylor returns to the studio in December to make his next dance – the 136th of his career – and for the first time, he is allowing bloggers, photographers and videographers to document its creation. The material will be posted at www.createwithtaylor.org.

For a donation as little as $5, supporters will receive a log-in and password to they can tune in and see how the dance progresses over the six-week creative period, and the subsequent production weeks, culminating with the World Premiere at Syracuse University in March 2012.

Several donation levels unlock different levels of access. At $5, supporters are listed on the website and have access to the site; at $500 supporters will receive an invitation to a dress rehearsal featuring the new work, a privilege normally reserved for people who those thousands of dollars to commission a work.

Perks include interviews with Mr. Taylor and video excerpts from the new dance as it is created; images by noted photographers Matthew Murphy and Whitney Browne; and much more.
