Considered one of the premiere performance venues for dance, The Joyce features an annual season of approximately 48 weeks with over 340 performances. The Joyce invites New York City-based, national and international dance companies to its intimate venue in Chelsea.

The Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company performs “Play and Play: an evening of movement and music,” two special programs focusing on the pleasure of musicians and dancers working together. The Orion String Quartet will join the company.
Program A includes “D-Man in the Waters,” Jones’ joyous, award-winning work not seen in New York since 2002; “Continuous Replay,” with a score composed by Jerome Begin; and “Spent Days Out Yonder,” set to Mozart’s Prussian Quartet No. 23. Program B features new works set to Schubert’s string quartet “Death and the Maiden” and Ravel’s String Quartet in F.

On March 18 at 7 pm, WQXR, New York City’s all-classical station, will host an evening with Bill T. Jones along with the Orion String Quartet and dancers from Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company at the Jerome L. Greene Performance Space, the station’s event venue. The event will include music and dance performances from “Play and Play: an evening of movement and music,” by the Orion String Quartet. WQXR’s Terrance McKnight will interview Bill T. Jones, the musicians and dancers.
