Literary journals, chapbooks and a multimedia archive are among the collections available at the Poets House. While the oldest issues of literary journals must be requested in advance, current issues are kept in a prominent display.

The chapbook collection is a miniature laboratory of poetry production, including everything from homemade booklets to fine arts press publications.

Visitors can explore the vast audio archive using Poets House iPods. Browsable both by the author who is speaking and by the authors that are being discussed, Poets House iPods offer a digital exhibition that reflects the broad spectrum of poetry recorded over the last century.

  • Directions: Subway: A, C, 1, 2, 3 to Chambers Street. Walk west on Chambers to River Terrace. Turn left, walk two blocks south to Poets House.
