148 West 37th Street, 13th Floor
The Horticultural Society furthers public knowledge about horticulture and is perhaps best known as sponsor of the New York Flower Show, an annual spring event held at Pier 92 on the Hudson River that features the work of hundreds of amateur and professional gardeners, landscapers and horticulturists. Exhibits at its main facility on 58th Street, not surprisingly, focus on botanical subjects as reflected in the fine and decorative arts. The society has a library and offers gardening classes as well as tours of some of the finest regional gardens.
