The Carnival Association organizes a festival and parade each Labor Day weekend in Brooklyn. It attracts the most attendance of any parade in New York City. Concerts and events precede the parade, which celebrates Caribbean heritage with intricate floats, ornate costumes, pulsating music, dynamic dancing, and authentic roti, jerk chicken and peas and rice.
The days leading up to the parade on Monday include band competitions, events for youth and parties.
