Since its founding in 1979, BRIC Arts | Media | Bklyn has enriched the cultural landscape of Brooklyn with a wide array of renowned and highly-regarded contemporary art, performing arts and community media programs. BRIC is a leader in innovation in the arts and media,  and a champion of arts education and working artists in Brooklyn.  Through its flagship performing arts program, the Celebrate Brooklyn! Performing Arts Festival, BRIC has been a proud participant in the revitalization of Prospect Park.

BRIC reaches upwards of a million Brooklyn residents each year with exhibitions, performances, television programs and education programs as well as subsidized platforms for artists and community members to develop and present works.  BRIC’s programs are curated with the diverse communities of Brooklyn in mind—individuals, nonprofits, community groups, school children, educators and artists borough-wide benefit from its work.

BRIC’s contemporary art program presents exhibitions and public events at BRIC Rotunda Gallery and an innovative arts education program at the gallery and in schools aimed to increase the visibility and accessibility of contemporary art and bridge the gap between the art world and global culture in Brooklyn.

BRIC’s performing arts programs present emerging and established artists in music, dance, theater and multidisciplinary performance to broad audiences.  Signature programs include Celebrate Brooklyn!, one of New York City's longest running, free, outdoor summer festivals at the Prospect Park Bandshell, and BRIClab, a commissioning and residency program for the development of new works in the performing arts.

BRIC is the public access TV provider for Brooklyn. Its community media program gives voice to all of Brooklyn’s residents by offering affordable media facilities, equipment and education as well as Brooklyn-focused television programming through the BCAT Media Center, the Brooklyn Center for Media Education, and the BCAT TV Network.
