Founded in 1984, Music from China performs traditional Chinese instrumental music and collaborates with composers to expand the repertory of instruments such as the erhu, yangqin, zheng and dizi. The group has performed at the 92nd Street Y, Lincoln Center and in venues such as the Freer Gallery in Washington, D.C., and the Boston Early Music Festival.
