High 5 Tickets to the Arts gives teens access to New York City’s thriving arts scene for just $5. Open to students aged 13-18 or enrolled in grades 6-12, High 5 has $5 tickets to events ranging from dance to music to theater and the visual arts. Teens can also purchase $5 tickets for an accompanying adult, so the whole family can cash in on the deal.
But High 5’s got more than just $5 tickets. The Teen Reviewers and Critics (TRaC) program and Freelance Writing Corps offer teens the chance to explore NYC’s culturescape, write about their experiences and publish their work on the High 5 Review, an interactive media hub fueled by teen arts coverage.
For more information or to purchase $5 tickets, check out the High 5 Events Calendar or sign up to receive The Week in Arts, High 5's weekly newsletter. And don’t forget to fan High 5 on Facebook and follow them on Twitter for up-to-the-minute ticket offers and updates!
Young people between the ages of 13-18, or a middle school or high school student, from anywhere in the world, can purchase High 5 tickets. Teens must present proper identification when arriving at the theater or museum. Identification can be anything proving one's age or school enrollment: a student ID, a driver's license or even a school report card. Each teen can purchase one additional $5 ticket, so they can be accompanied by one adult, another teen or pre-teen. Grownups can be loyal High 5 users, too, and may purchase tickets or subscribe to the organization's newsletter. But when it's time to pick up High 5 tickets at a venue, there must be at least one teenager present for every two tickets.
High 5 Tickets to the Arts is a program of ArtsConnection, an arts-in-education organization in New York City.
