NewFest: The New York LGBT Film Festival
$8.00 seniors, students, $12.00 members, $14.00 general.
Founded in 1988, the New Festival is an annual one-week program of gay and lesbian cinema. The festival screens features, shorts and documentaries that explore themes of sexuality by directors from the world over. Screenings take place at the School of Visual Arts Theaters on West 23rd Street during the month of June. In September the festival presents Selections from the New Festival, a two-day program at BAM Rose Cinemas in Brooklyn.
