African Diaspora International Film Festival
Established in 1993 by the husband and wife team of Reinaldo Barroso-Spech and Diarah N’Daw-Spech, this annual festival presents contemporary films that shine a different light on African Diaspora life and culture regardless of the filmmaker’s race or nationality.
Many of the films are in a foreign language with English subtitles.

Seniors (62 and older), and a caregiver if present, receive discounts at events related to the Africa Diaspora Festival. Those with an ID from Teachers College receive free admission to the events held at the college.
