Established in 1968 to produce and perform theatrical works written in Spanish, IATI (International Theater Arts Institute) introduces New Yorkers from all walks of life to contemporary Latin American dance and theater artists. The institute addresses contemporary issues of broad human concern and seeks to frame those issues within an appropriate cultural context in order to provoke introspection, social awareness, responsibility and accountability.

At workshops for the pubic, professional artists share their talents with children, adults and working artists in an intimate and personalized setting.
