The Art Deco Society of New York, founded in 1980, is devoted to the preservation and restoration of architecture and interiors in the Art Deco style—a major design force that flourished between the world wars to become a worldwide phenomenon influencing the appearance of everything from buildings to bobby pins.

In addition to purusing an active program of preservation advocacy, the society offers monthly educational walking tours, lectures, author events, student internships, assistance to artisans and property owners and travel programs.
