NYC Arts: The Complete Guide to Art and Culture

Roberta Guaspari founded Opus 118 Harlem School of Music in 1991. Since then, Opus 118 has become a leading organization in the struggle to bring quality musical education to kids.

Currently, the school serves at six New York City public schools through its violin program. The After-School Music Program at Opus 118 specializes in string instruction for children and adults at all skill levels. Individual, partner and group lessons in viola, cello, piano, guitar and recorder as well as the school's traditional violin program are available. Wind, brass and percussion instruction will follow in future years.
