Le Poisson Rouge

(Le) Poisson Rouge is a multimedia art cabaret whose primary goal is art fusion. In the state-of-the-art performance space, (Le) Poisson Rouge presents events and performers that exemplify the genre-bending sensibility that has made the cabaret the haven for art that it is today.

Dedicated to the fusion of music, film, dance and visual art, Le Poisson Rouge is a multimedia art cabaret founded by musicians on the site of the historic Village Gate. The club’s versatile layout—seated, standing or in-the-round—can accommodate up to 700 attendees.

Le Poisson Rouge has played host to the Mata Festival, the Wordless Music Series, Lou Reed, Deerhunter, A Hawk and A Hacksaw, Doveman and Xiu-Xiu as well as up-and-coming comedians such as Eugene Mirman.
