Founded by Dr. Billy Taylor, Jazz Mobile has been active for 45 years, producing free concerts that preserve and propagate jazz, an American art form. Past performers have included legendary artists such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Sarah Vaughan.
Jazz Mobile produces a Summer Festival, the Harlem International Jazz Festival, the Jazzmobile Vocal Competition and Saturday Jazz Workshops as well as lectures, seminars and symposia.
