Transport Group, an OBIE and Drama Desk award- winning theater company, develops and produces work by American playwrights and composers with the aim of exploring the American consciousness in the 20th and 21st centuries. The company is dedicated to both original and existing works as well as both plays and musicals.
Transport Group was co-founded in 2001 by Jack Cummings III and Robyn Hussa as a nonprofit theater company. Its first production was a revival of Thornton Wilder's classic Our Town in February of 2002. By the spring of 2010, Transport Group had produced 13 productions including six musicals and seven plays comprised of seven revivals and six world premieres.
