NYC Arts: The Complete Guide to Art and Culture

Transport Group is an off-Broadway theater company in New York City that stages new works and re-imagines revivals by American writers.  Its visually progressive productions of emotionally classic stories explore the challenges of relationships and identity in modern America.

Transport Group was co-founded in 2001 by Jack Cummings III and Robyn Hussa as a nonprofit theater company. Its first production was a revival of Thornton Wilder's classic Our Town in February of 2002. By the spring of 2010, Transport Group had produced 13 productions including six musicals and seven plays comprised of seven revivals and six world premieres.

Transport Group’s productions have included Mart Crowley's The Boys in the Band, directed by Jack Cummings III, and the NYC premiere musical See Rock City & Other Destinations, with music by Brad Alexander and book and lyrics by Adam Mathias.
