Earth Celebrations is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering ecological awareness through the arts. Since 1991, Earth Celebrations programs have mobilized communities to address climate change, river species habitat restoration and the preservation of community gardens, parks and a healthy urban environment in New York City.
The annual Hudson River Pageant debuted in 2009. The parade is an ecological art project and performance event engaging youth and community to restore the Hudson River's native species and habitats, and address clean water and climate change in New York City. The parade includes spectacular costumes, giant puppets, live musical bands, and performance, dance, and poetry along the piers and significant sites.
