Horizon Theatre Rep
Horizon Theatre Rep is grounded in New York City and is passionately dedicated to reflecting the cultural greatness and diversity of the city. Local, national and international news serves as inspiration for choosing plays to stage, with the goal of being a present tense theater rooted in universal themes.
In its 11 years of operation it has staged plays that have dealt with issues relevant to New York residents such as war, terrorism, education, religious fundamentalism and race relations. Many of the plays were New York premieres, others, very seldom seen in New York or elsewhere. All represent challenging theatrical choices aimed at cultivating a truly diverse theatrical aesthetic. The company also aims to give emerging artists the opportunity to take risks, to excel and to make their mark.
Discounted tickets are offered to seniors (65 and older) and senior groups.
