Art for Change is a nonprofit that provides a forum for creating innovative art and media programs that inspire people to take an active role in social justice.

Art for Change encourages the advancement of progressive social change by using art as a catalyst for disseminating information to people. By building a bridge between communities and artists, Art for Change seeks to articulate how various systems work, and ways people improve their lives, community and environment. It provides space for other organizations, artists and activists to congregate, rehearse, network and interact with the community of East Harlem.

Art for Change continues to support emerging artists and filmmakers through art exhibitions and film screenings at its permanent gallery space, raise awareness of social injustice issues, inspire community activism and offer engaging community programs such as Calle Youth Theater program, Hacia Afuera annual public arts festival and community mural projects.
