Moomah

There are many ways to enjoy your visit to Moomah—whether you stop in for a quick latte or stay for an entire afternoon of crafts.

Drop in during open DIT hours and pick out a project kit that vary in age level from 18-months and up. From collages and painting kits to shadowboxes and jewelry making, there’s something for every artist in your family. Projects can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour, depending how detailed you and your youngster decide to go.

Between classes, the space is transformed into the interactive Funky Forest. Stand against the wall and watch as a virtual tree grows behind you. Keep the forest healthy by using the log-shaped pillows or your hands and feet to push the river water towards your trees. The Funky Forest is a perfect environment for your child to work off some energy or for you and baby to relax.

Moomah offers a variety of semester-long art and music classes as well. Past classes have included Everybody Gets a Song with the Story Pirates, Animation with Emmy Award-Winning Animator, Danielle Ash, and Fairytale Improv with Child’s Play NY.
