Founded in 1997, Eyebeam is a nonprofit that exposes broad and diverse audiences to new technologies and media arts, while simultaneously establishing and demonstrating new media as a significant genre of cultural production.

Eyebeam provides access, education and support for students, artists and the general public in the field of art and technology.

Activities take place in four main areas: education; research and development; production; and exhibition. Programs include artist-in-residency opportunities; exhibitions in Eyebeam's Chelsea gallery; online critical forums; summer and after-school education programs for middle and high school students; and parent and teacher training.
