The center’s programs, intended to bring the rich cultures of the five Nordic nations (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden) to New York, include art and design exhibitions, film screenings, lectures, concerts and programs for families.
Scandinavia House has the 168-seat Victor Borge auditorium on the lower level; a shop and cafe on the first floor; mixed-use reception and gathering space on the second floors; exhibition galleries on the third floor; a library and children’s exhibition and learning center on the fourth; and conference and seminar rooms and offices on the fifth and sixth floors.

Touring the world since 2009, the project consists of publications, exhibitions, film screenings, lectures and workshops. The series of architectural lectures, panels, and discussions will be held in New York in spring 2012 and will be accompanied by an exhibition opening at the Center for Architecture on April 21, 2012.
