151 West 34th Street
Macy’s needs no introduction: the retailer was founded in 1858, and since 1924 its flagship store has anchored Herald Square. The services at its second-floor visitor center are often overlooked—customers can check coats and packages and receive shopping assistance, and international visitors, upon showing their passport, can pick up a discount card worth 11% savings at Macy's.
In addition to providing information specific to shopping at Macy's, the highly professional, multilingual staff will answer any questions from visitors concerning their visit to New York. Free materials include brochures, guides (including multilingual guides), maps and other information on New York City.
The visitor center is located on the 34th Street balcony ("Floor 1.5", or mezzanine level), which can be accessed by stairs, escalator or elevator from the first floor.
