Americas Society (AS) is the premier forum dedicated to education, debate and dialogue about issues in Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada. Its mission is to foster an understanding of the contemporary political, social and economic issues confronting these regions, and to increase public awareness and appreciation of the diverse cultural heritage of the Americas and the importance of the inter-American relationship.

Its literature, music and visual arts programs aim to create a space for interaction and enhanced appreciation for emerging and established cultural figures from across the hemisphere by presenting writers, musicians, artists and scholars from Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada to U.S. audiences.
