Young Concert Artists was founded in 1961 to discover and launch the careers of brilliant but unknown young classical musicians from all over the world.

Young Dancers in Repertory

Young Dancers In Repertory provides classes in creative movement, modern dance, ballet and ethnic dance for children of all ages. Its teenage touring ensemble has staged performances since 1985 in a variety of venues, including the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Henry Street Settlement.

Young People’s Chorus of New York City

Young People’s Chorus of New York City provides children of all cultural and economic backgrounds with a program of music education and choral performance that seeks to fulfill each child’s potential, while creating a model of artistic excellence and diversity that enriches the community.

Young Playwrights

Young Playwrights introduces young people to writing for the theater and for themselves. Founded by Stephen Sondheim in 1981, Young Playwrights offers many celebrated programs for young people and teachers, and is a model for playwright development programs across the U.S. and Canada.

Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall

The subterranean Judy and Arthur Zankel Hall opened in September 2003 and is accessed from Seventh Avenue, near the corner of West 56th Street. The modern, wood-lined auditorium generally seats 599 but can employ alternate stage configurations with different capacities. One can occasionally hear the faint rumbling of the subway line, beneath the hall.

ZEB’S

Every Wednesday night ZEB's has hosted the Jazz Vocalist Series, consisting of a performance by a featured vocalist followed by a jam session for professional singers and instrumentalists. Some of New York's most talented established singers and rising stars have relished singing at ZEB's because of the supportive environment and loving community of singers and musicians we have built here.
