The Toy Museum of New York gained a permanent home in November 2009. It is located on the second floor of St. Ann and the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Brooklyn Heights. The museum also has exhibitions at the Brooklyn Heights and Bay Ridge public library branches.

New York City was once a center of toy manufacturing and the museum chronicles societal changes as seen through vintage toy objects, including porcelain dolls, teddy bears and model trains. The 800-square-foot space holds toys dating back to the 1880s. Exhibitions that educate children about historic events include the Invention of the Airplane, Automobiles, and Child's Past and Immigration.

The second-floor space is reached by stairs.
