The New York Chinese Scholar Garden is a replica of a typical scholar’s garden from the Ming dynasty. Part of the Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden, the beautiful setting features authentic replicas of some of the most stunning gardens in mainland China and is situated among landmarked Second Empire Victorian cottages.

The only garden of its kind in the tri-state area, the authentic garden was designed and created by 40 artisans from China and features Asian koi ponds, bamboo structures and a stunning series of walls, eight landscaped pavilions and enchanting covered walkways.
