Founded in 1983, the ISE Cultural Foundation promotes the exchange of art and culture, mainly visual art, between nations in order to enhance the development and understanding of Japanese aesthetics and culture. The foundation accepts exhibition proposals from curators with concepts that deal with contemporary issues in art and culture and then mounts select exhibitions in its SoHo gallery.

Foreign-language Programs
The foundation has a Japanese-language verion of its website. Some events include talks in Japanese (with English translation available).
