The Alliance for the Arts was a pioneer in research on the cultural community in the city, state and region. The groundbreaking economic impact studies going back to 1983 prove that the arts are a vital industry in New York, an economic engine which strengthens and supports other industries, such as tourism and the commercial arts. Here you will find a selection of the reports published by the Alliance.
