Mon: 11 am-7 pm Tues - Thurs: 11 am-6 pm Fri: 1 pm-5 pm Sat: 10 am-5 pm The Francis Martin Branch of the New York Public Library was named after a distinguished Bronx judge (1879-1947) who served as the first District Attorney of Bronx County. The first floor houses separate adult and young adult collections as well as an extensive reference collection. The children's collection is on the spacious and sunny second floor. Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College
The theater is dedicated to the creation and presentation of performing arts programming of all disciplines, with a focus on how the artistic imagination can shed light on the many perceptions of justice in our society.

A group of chamber-music performers, Goliard Concerts performs in its native Queens and around New York City. It performs outdoors in the summer, at the Church of the Most Precious Blood and Steinway Reformed Church in Astoria and tours the Southeastern states.
