BALAM Dance Theatre

This chamber-sized dance ensemble teaches the community about Balinese dance and culture through a fusion of East/West aesthetics in a contemporary, world dance format.

Ballet Academy East

Ballet Academy East was established in 1979. The school is made up of three divisions: The Pre-Professional Division for ages 7-18 with admission by audition, the Pre-Ballet Division for ages 2-6 and Open Classes for Adults and Teens. The Pre-Professional Division performs for the public twice annually, in February at the Ailey Citigroup Theater and in May at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater.

Ballet Hispanico

Celebrating 42 years of dance and culture, Ballet Hispanico is recognized as the nation's leading Latino dance organization. Led by Artistic Director Eduardo Vilaro, the Company, School of Dance, and Education & Outreach programs build new avenues of cultural dialogue and share the joy of dance with all communities.

Ballet Tech Foundation

Ballet Tech encompasses a professional dance company and a tuition-free school. This diverse, urban company performs a repertoire of Eliot Feld's extensive range of ballets at the Joyce Theater every 12-36 months. The school provides a continuum of training – beginner to advanced – entirely tuition-free for talented public school kids. Each year 30,000 kids audition and 550 enroll.

Battery Dance Company

Battery Dance Company is dedicated to the pursuit of artistic excellence and the availability of the Arts to everyone. An integral part of the fabric of New York City for 35 years, Battery supports the creative process; educates children in the New York City schools; enriches the general public through local programs and performances, national and international tours, and international arts exchange programs.

BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange

BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange is a nurturing, year-round, performance, rehearsal and educational venue in Brooklyn that encourages artistic risk-taking and stimulates dialogue among diverse constituencies.

Bebe Miller Company

BEBE MILLER (Choreographer/Director) formed The Bebe Miller Company in 1985 with a vision of dance and performance that resides in her faith in the moving body as a record of thought, experience and sheer beauty. Seeking to expand the language of dance, Miller's work encompasses choreography, writing, film, video and digital media.

Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company

The dance company that began at BAM as a collaborative effort between Bill T. Jones and the late Arnie Zane has now performed in more than 200 American cities and 30 countries. The company has been described as a fusion of dance and theater, with highly diverse subject matter, visual imagery and social criticism.

Bill Young and Dancers/Hundred Grand Dance Foundation

The Hundred Grand Dance Foundation is an organization that supports the activities of Bill Young and Dancers and the SoHo space Hundred Grand Dance Studio. Guest artists teach modern dance classes Monday through Friday, and performances are occasionally held in the studio.

Blessed Unrest

Blessed Unrest (theatre for the adventurous) uses the safe structure of training, rehearsal and performance to create an environment where dangerous things can happen. They produce dynamic, disciplined and exuberant new works for the stage in New York City and abroad, building original pieces and reconstructing established texts with their diverse ensemble of artists. They are a non-profit, ensemble-based, experimental theatre company generating original work since 1999.
