BAM Howard Gilman Opera House

This is the main venue of Brooklyn Academy of Music and hosts dance, theater and music events, including avant garde productions of modern operas.

BAMcafé

Originally conceived as BAM's ballroom in 1908, the Lepercq Space on the Howard Gilman Opera house's second floor has served many purposes since. It now holds BAMcafé, which serves dinner and drinks before BAM performances, and hosts BAMcafé Live, BAM's free music series, on Friday and Saturday nights. The Lepercq Space is also home to the small Brownstone Books store, which features a broad array of performing arts titles alongside the latest in adult fiction and non-fiction.BAM Café is accessible by escalator and elevator.

Barnard College-Barnard Hall

Barnard Hall is located immediately upon entering through the main gate of the Barnard College campus at Broadway and 117th Street. It houses the internationally known Barnard Center for Research on Women, the LeFrak Gymnasium, aerobics/dance studios, an indoor pool and weight room, and seminar rooms, including the Held Lecture Hall.

Barnard College-Diana Center

The Diana Center houses the Glicker-Milstein Black Box Theatre, the Event Oval, Liz's Place, the Anna Quindlen Conference Room, the Louise Heublein McGagg '59 Gallery and the Green Roof.

Baryshnikov Arts Center

BAC serves as a creative laboratory, meeting place and performance space for artists from around the world. BAC also presents contemporary, innovative work at low or no cost to to the public.

Battery Park City Parks Conservancy

Battery Park City Parks Conservancy is a non-profit organization that oversees the maintenance of 36 acres of parkland in Lower Manhattan.

Betsy Head Park

This park has been a presence in the neighborhood for almost 100 years. Built on land bequeathed to the city specifically for purposes of public health and recreation, it continues to serve the community as a nexus of activity today. The park has seen numerous improvements through the years, most notably the construction of the Play Center (pool and bathhouse), a monumental WPA-era building that set the bar for recreation facilities across the country.

Bleecker Street Theatre

This small theater is on the edge of the East Village and often hosts one-person shows and comedic productions.

Blue Heron Park

On the southern tip of Staten Island, this 236-acre park has streams, woodlands, ponds, egrets, herons and muskrats.
