Elisa Contemporary Art is dedicated to promoting the appreciation and collection of art as a way to enrich and heal, lives, communities and the world. We represent artists from around the world, and donate a portion of our gallery sales to charity.

FAB

FAB (Fourth Arts Block) was founded in 2001 to establish and advance the East 4th Street Cultural District, between Second Avenue and the Bowery. The district is home to more than a dozen arts groups, 10 cultural facilities and 17 performances and rehearsal venues.

Festival of Ideas for the New City

This initiative in NYC involved scores of downtown organizations working together to imagine the future city. The festival included a three-day slate of symposia; a StreetFest along the Bowery on May 7; and over 100 independent projects and public events which took place on the weekend of May 7 and 8.

Flux Factory

This incubator for art that is in dialogue with the physical, social and cultural space of New York City is based in a three-story converted greeting card factory in Long Island City, Queens.

Francis Martin Branch | New York Public Library

Mon: 11 am-7 pm Tues - Thurs: 11 am-6 pm Fri: 1 pm-5 pm Sat: 10 am-5 pmThe Francis Martin Branch of the New York Public Library was named after a distinguished Bronx judge (1879-1947) who served as the first District Attorney of Bronx County. The first floor houses separate adult and young adult collections as well as an extensive reference collection. The children's collection is on the spacious and sunny second floor. Godwin-Ternbach Museum at Queens College

Each exhibition at the museum offers an array of lectures, gallery talks, films, family and children workshops, concerts and tours, often in collaboration with academic departments and centers at the college.

Governors Island

This 172-acre island in New York Harbor was a quiet military installation under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Army from 1794 to 1966 and of the Coast Guard until 1996. It now hosts free art exhibitions, festivals and ticketed concerts and is accessible by a free ferry.

Grand Concourse Branch | New York Public Library
