Atlantic Theater Company

Atlantic Theater Company is an award-winning Off Broadway theater dedicated to producing great plays simply and truthfully utilizing an artistic ensemble. Since its inception in 1982, the company has produced more than 100 plays, including the hit musical Spring Awakening, the Tony Award-winning production of The Beauty Queen of Leenane by Martin McDonagh, and the 20th Anniversary Broadway revival of David Mamet's Speed-The-Plow.

August Wilson Theater

Following the death of playwright August Wilson in 2005, the Virginia Theatre was renamed in his honor and is the first Broadway theater to be named after an African-American. IIt is one of several Broadway theaters owned by Jujamcyn Theaters.

BAM Harvey Theater

Winner of the 1988 Architectural Theater Award, the Harvey (formerly the Majestic) resembles a romantic ruin of a theater space. Originally a traditional playhouse, the theater was converted into a movie house in 1942 and abandoned in 1968. This unique space was obtained in 1987 by BAM's then-president Harvey Lichtenstein for the landmark production of Peter Brook's The Mahabharata. The Harvey is located two blocks from BAM's Howard Gilman Opera House and has 874 seats.
