    Ten new works by William Beckman include five oil paintings and an equal number of large-scale charcoal drawings, all completed since the artist’s last one-person exhibition in 2014. The works are a return to nature for the Minnesota-born Beckman, who was raised on his parents’ working farm. The farm and its resident bulls and horses are the subjects in the current exhibition.

After silently enduring this political gridlock, he later vented his frustrations by writing a clever satire to strike back at his enemies. "Androboros" remains a biting critique of early civic unrest when New Yorkers demonstrated little faith in their government.
