The “2019 ReelAbilities Film Festival” is dedicated to awareness of the stories and artistic expressions of people with different abilities. The festival showcases talent from around the world and celebrates the diversity of the shared human experience through engaging films and events. It encourages inclusion and responsible portrayals in cinema of people with disabilities, the most underrepresented minority in American media. The 11th edition of the festival will take place at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, located at 76th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, as well as at over 20 other venues across all five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, Westchester and Rockland counties, making it a geographically accessible festival. In addition, it is packed with technology to make it an exceptionally accommodating festival for those with disabilities of all kinds.
