This event is free with Museum admission, but registration is required. Admission fees are suggested donations and include the Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Cloisters on same day. Free for New York City public school students and children under 12 with an adult.

Join award-winning illustrator John Parra for an exciting adventure as he introduces young visitors to his imaginative picture books including Round is a Tortilla, Green Is a Chili Pepper, Gracias/Thanks, Waiting for the Biblioburro, and his upcoming title, Marvelous Cornelius. Create your own books and illustrations in the studio! Then go on a self-guided hunt through the galleries.

A selection of Mr. Parra’s books will be available for purchase in the The Met Store in the Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center. Mr. Parra will be signing books after the presentation. Preregistration is not required for the book-signing portion of this program.
