Movies With A View attracts thousands of people each summer to the waterfront park. Pre-show music and food offerings begin each evening at 5:00 pm, with the movies screening at sundown.

The theme for this year’s 8-week-long film series is “Resistance,” and it will highlight issues of race, gender, protest, and triumph.

The run-of-show for August 24 is up for public vote between the following films:

  • Footloose
  • Dear White People
  • Network
  • (Short) Have No Fear by Beata Calinska & Sarah Jacobson
  • DJ Hahn Solo

The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s partnership with DeKalb Market Hall will greatly enhance moviegoers’ experiences this year: while taking in spectacular views, and enjoying a film, attendees can snack on all kinds of food from the Hall’s diverse food vendors.

Some highlights include Kotti Doner, Steve’s Key Lime Pie, Foragers Sandwiches, and Cake Pops from Cake Pop Shop. Furthermore, for the first time in the series’ history, the audience will be able to enjoy cool beers and tasty wines from Warsteiner and Oak Beverages – all from the comfort of their picnic blankets.
